Normal hair loss” refers to the natural process of the hair cycle in which old hair falls out and new hair grows back. Between 50 and 100 hairs are lost every day.
This hair loss is usually evenly distributed over the head and does not lead to visible bald patches or thinning hair.
1. hereditary hair loss:
Androgenetic hair loss is a common form of hair loss that can occur in both men and women. It is caused by a combination of genetic predisposition and hormonal influences. Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) has a negative effect on the hair follicles, which is why the hair becomes thinner, shorter and weaker until it ultimately stops growing back.
2. hormonal changes:
Any fluctuations in hormones, such as during the menopause or in the case of thyroid disorders, can lead to hair loss.
3. stress:
Chronic stress can lead to temporary or permanent hair loss.
4. medication:
Certain medications can have hair loss as a side effect.
5. nutritional deficiency:
A lack of essential nutrients such as iron, zinc, vitamin D or biotin can lead to hair loss.
6. autoimmune diseases:
Certain autoimmune diseases, such as alopecia areata, lichen planopilaris, etc… can lead to hair loss.
7. hair styling and chemicals:
Excessive use of heat, aggressive styling products or chemical treatments can weaken the hair and lead to hair loss.
8. infections:
Infections of the scalp can cause hair loss, e.g. fungal infections.
9. diseases of the scalp:
Certain diseases of the scalp, such as psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis, can cause hair loss.
1. androgenetic alopecia (male or female pattern hair loss):
This is the most common form of hair loss and occurs in both men and women. It is caused by genetic predisposition and hormonal changes and leads to a gradual thinning of the hair on the scalp.
2. diffuse hair loss/ telogen effluvium:
In this type of hair loss, a large number of hairs enter the telogen phase prematurely due to hormonal changes, stress, medication, illness or severe weight loss. This causes more hair to fall out than usual, resulting in a thinning hair appearance.
3. alopecia areata:
This autoimmune disease leads to sudden, sharply defined areas of hair loss on the scalp or other parts of the body. In extreme cases, it can lead to baldness.
4. traction alopecia:
This hair loss is caused by persistent pulling or tensioning of the hair, as is the case with certain hairstyles such as braids, cornrows or tight ponytails. Repeated pulling can lead to hair breakage and permanent damage to the hair follicles.
5. chemotherapy-induced hair loss:
Certain chemotherapy drugs damage the hair cells, causing hair to fall out prematurely. This often affects not only the hair on the head, but also eyelashes, eyebrows and body hair.
6. cicatricial hair loss (e.g. lichen planopilaris or frontal fibrosing alopecia):
These rarer forms of hair loss lead to inflammation of the hair follicles, which can result in scarring and permanent hair loss.
Finding the optimal solution for hair problems requires an individual approach, as the causes of hair loss, hair thinning or other hair problems can vary from person to person.
Soft laser treatment:
with our biophoton therapy device increases cell activity, which stimulates hair regrowth and new hair formation and, in combination with type-specific formulations, also has an extremely positive effect on scalp problems such as itching and dandruff
Color light vacuum lymphatic drainage:
This form of therapy helps to harmonize an imbalance in the body by removing dissolved waste products more quickly, whereby the mother cell is optimally supplied with nutrients again and the production of new hairs is massively stimulated.
Meridian massage with neck acupressure:
The mode of action of this form of therapy with type-specific formulas is based on a deeply relaxing and circulation-promoting effect, which reactivates the damaged mother cells of the hair roots, normalizes hair loss and stimulates regrowth.
Galvanic treatment:
These treatments are carried out with direct current in combination with special formulations, with an extremely positive effect on the scalp and scalp, which normalizes premature hair loss in particular.
Inco-impulse treatment:
This form of treatment has a positive effect on cellular, bioelectrical processes, stimulating the body’s own regeneration mechanisms in the blood and lymphatic system. The resulting improved supply of nutrients to the cells has a very positive effect on a healthy hair cycle.
Home treatment therapies:
If it is not possible to come to our institute regularly, we mix a type-specific home treatment prescription program, for which there is a training session and check-ups every 1-2 months to monitor the success of the therapy.
